Hancock Askew & Co. is Excited to Announce, John Lowell, Director of Risk Advisory has Joined the Firm

Miami, FL (August 31, 2022) – Hancock Askew & Co., LLP (HAC), a full-service audit, tax, accounting and advisory firm is proud to announce the hire of John Lowell as a Director of Risk Advisory out of the firm’s Miami office.  

As Director, John will be responsible for leadership, strategic direction and overall development of the firm’s risk advisory practice in the South Florida market. His focus will not only be in excellent client service but in business development efforts. John will work closely with the Partners and other members of leadership in Florida to strategically grow the practice, strengthen relationships with industry leaders and recruit top risk advisory talent for the HAC Florida team. Hancock Askew’s risk advisory services include consultations on Sarbanes-Oxley, internal controls design and implementation, risk assessments and other business process improvements.

John has over 12 years of experience in public accounting working with both private and public companies. His area of expertise includes providing consulting services related to Sarbanes-Oxley consultation, design, implementation and review of controls and policies/procedures, internal audit support, business process evaluation, risk assessments, FDIC Rule Part 370, target operating model design and implementation, BSA/AML Compliance, product risk management, and Incident identification and escalation management. Most recently, John was a senior manager at Deloitte where he gained global client experience during his tenure there. Additionally, John is a PMP certificated project manager and a member of the Institute of Internal Audit (IIA). He graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
