Atlanta, GA (July 2024) – Hancock Askew & Co., LLP (HAC), a full-service audit, tax, accounting and advisory firm is pleased to announce the newest addition to its team, Barry Coates, who joins as Chief Financial Officer.
As CFO, Barry will lead and manage the firm’s internal finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting and forecasting, budget management and strategic growth initiatives. As the firm continues to innovate and broaden our reach, the CFO role will be crucial in optimizing our financial operations and guiding our firm’s long-term fiscal strategy.

Barry Coates has more than 25 years of experience in management consulting with a focus on the office of the CFO. He has worked extensively in mergers and acquisitions, sales operations and helping scale growth-oriented organizations. Prior to joining Hancock Askew, Barry served as the CFO of a non-profit organization and as a CFO for a technology consulting company. Barry graduated from North Carolina State University where he received his undergraduate degree in accounting and from the University of Georgia where he received a Master in Accounting. He’s a Certified Public Accountant and has a green belt in Lean Six Sigma.
