S. Mark Hand, CPA, MAFF, CVA

Mark is a Tax Partner at Hancock Askew and has over 40 years of experience in accounting.

Mark worked with Arthur Andersen & Company from 1979 – 1987, then became a partner with KPMG, LLP from 1987 – 1998, before starting his CPA firm in 1998. While building his CPA practice, he worked with Heritage Capital Group and Business Valuations as a principal from 1998-2012. He has provided tax and financial consulting services to Fortune 500 companies, closely-held businesses, business owners, and high-wealth individuals. Mark has provided business valuation services to closely-held business and holding companies and mergers and acquisition consulting and business brokerage services to closely-held businesses throughout his career.

Mark has been published in “The Economic Impact of Taxes on S Corporation Valuations,” with C. Donald Wiggins and Laura L. Coogan, Business Valuation Review, June 2000 and “Family Limited Partnerships in Florida,” with Carla A. Green, Jonathan L. Hay, Robert S. Hightower and Timothy J. Along with being a Certified Public Accountant, Mark is a Certified Valuation Analyst and Master Analyst in Financial Forensics. Mark is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
